Kip Protective tapes are an ideal aid for masking in indoor and outdoor areas. They consist of a PVC or PE carrier, the properties of which influence the corresponding tape. PVC is resistant to water, acids, alkalis and salt water and is insensitive to sunlight, which is why it is very dimensionally stable. PE, on the other hand, is milky white and elastic, insensitive to water, solvents, acids and low temperatures. Thanks to its resistance to plasticizers, it is ideal for plastic substrates. Kip PVC Protective tapes are made of resistant soft-PVC film with a cross-grooved surface for straight cutting. It is particularly suitable for smooth substrates such as wood (painted or primed), aluminum or glass. However, a test application should be carried out beforehand on weathered PVC substrates. It can withstand temperatures of up to 60°C.
