Kip Protective tapes are ideal for masking plastering, stucco and building protection work both indoors and outdoors. They are made of PVC or PE, whereby the properties of the tapes are influenced by the properties of the respective material. PVC is water-resistant, resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohol, oils and salt water and is insensitive to sunlight. It therefore retains its shape even when exposed to temperature. These properties make the tape ideal for masking straight edges. PE is milky white and elastic. It is resistant to water, solvents, acids and low temperatures. Furthermore, its high-quality release layer ensures that the tape unwinds easily without warping – which also makes it suitable for masking straight edges. It is also plasticizer-resistant and therefore ideally suited for plastic substrates. However, a test application should be carried out before use on weathered surfaces. The Kip Duo Tapes consist of a soft PVC film with double-sided adhesive strength, making it easy to apply masking materials and protect components in just one step – at temperatures of up to 40°C.
