Sie sind widerstandsfähig gegenüber Wasser, Öl sowie mechanischen und chemischen Einflüssen. Dieses Band ist ideal für Abdeckarbeiten im Innen- und Außenbereich sowie für Sandstrahl-Reparaturen, wasserdichtes Versiegeln von Behältern, zur Asbestentsorgung und das Verpacken von Transportgütern. Die Mesh Angabe gibt an wieviel Gewebefäden pro Quadrat Inch (1 Inch = 2,54 cm) vorhanden sind und beeinflusst die Handabreißbarkeit oder Reißfestigkeit des Klebebandes. Zudem muss auf das verwendete Material und die Fadendicke geachtet werden. Das Duo Steinband ist doppelseitig klebend und besteht aus strapazierfähigem Gewebe mit Kunststoffbeschichtung. Es hat eine hohe Klebekraft sowie Anschmiegsamkeitund eigent sich besonders gut zum Anbringen von Abdeckmaterialien auf rauem Untergründen wie Putz oder Stein. Beim Einsatz auf lackierten Untergründen sollte jedoch nur sehr vorsichtig vorgegangen werden. Es kann Temperaturen bis 90°C standhalten.
