Kip Protective tapes are an indispensable aid for plastering, stucco work and building protection work both indoors and outdoors. They are made of PVC or PE, which influences the properties of the tape. PVC is resistant to water, acids, alkalis, alcohol, oils, petrol and salt water. It is hardly affected by sunlight and is therefore very dimensionally stable. PE, on the other hand, is milky white and naturally elastic. It is also resistant to water, solvents, acids and alkalis at low temperatures. It therefore enables straight edges to be masked at both high and low temperatures. This premium product consists of a soft-PVC film with double-sided adhesive strength for easy application of masking materials and masking & protecting components in a single work step – tailored to the needs of painters, plasterers and plasterers. However, care should be taken with weathered PVC substrates. The adhesive strength is retained up to temperatures of 40°C!
