The Kip 230 Barrier-Tape is a single-sided adhesive roof finishing tape that has been specially developed for the permanent airtight sealing of vapor retarders in accordance with EnEV and DIN 4108-7. It consists of a reinforced, highly flexible HDPE film that is additionally reinforced with a scrim. This construction gives the tape a very high adhesive strength on a wide range of substrates, even at low temperatures, thanks to its thick pressure-sensitive adhesive coating. The Kip 230 Barrier-Tape also impresses with its ability to adhere reliably even to slightly damp substrates (e.g. condensation moisture). It is UV-stable for 6 months, extremely resistant to ageing and has a practical starter tab for easy application to penetrations such as pipes, chimneys, rafters and windows of building components at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C.
