Kip Protective tapes are ideal for masking plastering, stucco work and building protection work both indoors and outdoors. They consist of a PVC or PE carrier, whereby the properties of the material influence those of the tapes. PVC is resistant to water, acids, alkalis, alcohol, oil, petrol and salt water, making it very dimensionally stable. PE, on the other hand, is milky white, elastic and resistant to water, solvents, acids and low temperatures. It remains dimensionally stable at high and low temperatures. Thanks to its high-quality release layer, it is easy to unroll. It also enables straight edges to be masked. Kip PE Protective tape is particularly suitable for plastic substrates due to its resistance to plasticizers. For smooth substrates such as wood (painted or primed), aluminum or glass as well as galvanized surfaces, Kip PVC Protective Tapes are available in Premium Plus quality with a smooth film made of soft PVC with natural rubber adhesive. The tape is Temperature resistant up to 60°C and retains its shape. In the case of weathered plastic substrates, however, it should first be tested whether the tape can be applied.
