Kip Protective tapes are a good choice for masking plaster, stucco and building protection work indoors and outdoors. They consist of a PVC or PE carrier, which influences the properties of the tape. PVC is resistant to water, acids, alkalis, alcohol, oils, petrol and salt water as well as sunlight. It therefore retains its shape at temperatures of up to 40°C. PE is milky white and elastic. It is insensitive to water, solvents, acids and alkalis as well as low temperatures. Its high-quality release layer allows the tape to unroll easily without warping. As it is very dimensionally stable, it can also mask straight edges. Before using it on weathered plastic surfaces, however, an adhesive test should be carried out first. Kip PE Protective tapes are not suitable for anodized aluminium. PVC tape is better suited for windows.
